“I'm so pleased with Mel's work on the unwanted hairs on my face. After only a couple of visits, I could see an immediate improvement. I highly recommend Mel, kind, thoughtful and a highly skilled professional.”

Electrolysis can also be used to treat minor skin blemishes such as milia, tags and thread veins using a similar technique.
I have considerable experience of working with a wide variety of clients including PCOS, transgender full beard including longer clearance sessions, menopausal/hormonal hair growth, laser stimulated hair growth, darker skin colours and clients who have been dissatisfied with treatment elsewhere.
Whereas laser and IPL are excellent at hair reduction especially on dense dark hair and large body areas, Electrolysis is the only safe and reliable permanent solution regardless of body area, hair colour, hair density and skin colour. It’s not a one off treatment due to the nature of hair growth cycles and the influences of hormones and certain medications. But with commitment to an individualised treatment plan you with see the hairs gradually disappear.
Following a consultation and test patch, a treatment plan is recommended based on your individual situation. A fine sterile disposable probe is used along with the latest technology and techniques to release a small electrical pulse that actively reduces the hair growth over time. It is a safe and reliable method that has been used for over 100 years. There are no permanent side effects. There will be a temporary reddening of the skin. Some temporary marks may occur.
Electrolysis can also be used for the removal of minor skin blemishes. Known as advanced cosmetic procedures, it is a cost effective way of removing skin imperfections. These include skin tags, sun damage, warts, blood spots, milia.

After training in beauty therapy in the late 1980’s, I graduated with a degree in human physiology.
My teaching career spanned almost 30 years in some of the most prestigious colleges and private training providers throughout the UK. I have worked and trained alongside some of the industry’s most well known individuals.
In 2015, I left teaching behind to set up my own practice after unprecedented demand for an electrolysis specialist in the South.
I have clinics in Hove and Worthing throughout the week. Evening and weekend appointments upon request.
